๐Ÿงต Untitled Thread

Anonymous No. 16066448

I was flipping through the expanses of /b/ and saw a thread of a guy planning suicide. And an idea came to me, if the theory of quantum immortality is correct, then why not ask any person who definitely does not plan to continue living to make a thread in case of failure of suicide from his point of reality. His thread will contain pre-prepared text, but the most important thing will be a certain set of numbers that is remarkable to me. And if my alternative version where he survived is similar to me, then I will be able to attract her attention not only with a message but also with this set of numbers. It turns out that I can transmit a message to another branch of the universes.

quantum immortality is stupid and implies consciousness is tied to the universe and implies that said consciousness is instantly transferred to the other universe of you somehow

Why involve the middleman? Just write a script that reads a physical source of randomness such as your mouse movement, and outputs one message or another depending on the outcome. Whew, you now have different messages in different universal branches!

Oh? Are there versions of your brain that observe their respective universes even though they are dead?

you just die
say i read the outcome of a quantum event, go out 10 years later and shoot you
you have died, and their is a universe branch where the quantum event was the opposite, meaning there is a universe branch where i didnt shoot you
what happens then?

Then I'm alive in the universe in which I'm alive, and observe it. From my point of view, I have never died. There's no PoV from my dead version because he's dead. All my points of view that exist in any universe exist only in those in which I'm alive.

yes but how would you observe you being alive
you have been destroyed, no information about your previous life and nothing is carried over
also, a universe branches off every time a quantum event happens, so there are probably a trillion of you dying every second

>yes but how would you observe you being alive
>you have been destroyed, no information about your previous life and nothing is carried over
I've no idea what you wanted to say. Why do you think I've somehow been destroyed? My alive versions keep on being alive and observing their universes in the 10 years between the outcome and your shooting. Afterwards, my alive versions keep on being alive and observing their universe in which you have successfully failed to perform the shooting. For example, there are universes where the particles of your body get spontaneously rearranged into a pile of tissue. These universes have very little realityfluid but they aren't prohibited by quantum mechanics.

Why would anyone comply with such a request, and why would you make such a request?
