Isn't lean symbolic? For gen ed shit you just need to punch stuff in a calculator, and for high level math lean might be considered cheating. Also 20$ for a used calculator isn't much, maybe you should try getting a job or selling hole?

when I took calculus in 2006, we took all our exams in the math computer lab, and we could use maple/derive/matlab on the test. Not having a CAS on your test is retarded.

Because TI paid the government

imagine paying $100+ for this junk when Casio has better calculators at a fraction of the price.

at least it's more functional and way cheaper than this piece of shit.
you can buy a casino and throw it away no sweat.

my casio has all the functionalities that people ask for in a calculator, including graphing, solving systems of equations, and some programming capabilities and I've been using it for over 15 years. battery is replaced every 3-4 years. I bet it can even solve differential equations somehow.
bought it for $10 in the chink country.
yes, I don't understand why ameritards pay $100 for this piece of shit.

All education is profit. To get a true education S.W.O.R.D, must one first free themselves from the matrix.

Funny how that came to be, isn't it? I'm sure we all know what caused this.

Your phone has all those capabilities and some more. Why do we even bother with calculators anymore? Just teach a programming language to all from class five. Only use case of calculators could be to do tedious arithmetic because it is easy to type in calculator's keypad.

Calculators are just comfy. They rarely die. They never freeze up on you (at least not the one in the OP's image). They're never randomly inoperational because of a sudden software update. The input is much more tactile and you're less likely to punch in something incorrectly like you are on a tiny ass android keyboard. No waiting for anything to load. No random notifications from other shit you aren't currently working on. No opportunity for distraction.

If you're doing a specific task a lot, a solid application-specific device is almost always preferable to a general-application device. Another example: if you're going to be listening to a lot of music, classic iPods are far less of a headache than a phone is.

education jews made me pay $100 for this fucking thing to draw meme graphs in a few math lessons but then banned it for exams in high school.
i'm proud to say that i cheated on my virtually proctored math final in college using my phone
