The focus on religion is mostly unwarranted in the fertility discussion. Pew has tracked both religious affiliation AND religious/spiritual beliefs alongside marriage, divorce, sexuality, fertility, and other factors for decades now and the correlation is low and growing weaker. Even in demographics with apparently increasing religious fervor, fertility continues to plummet.


Ultimately, people are more willing to propose becoming a theocracy than removing womens rights lmao
