If the big Bounce is possible, does this mean we will live the same lives but with differences as a cyclic universe? Asking as somebody seeking /sci/ help from a depressed autist with their life lol.

probably yeah. at the same time it implies you already lived a lot of other versions. you just don't remember it. dunno if you could even.

That's interesting to hear then, I guess then in the next life I may find myself in a different family of such.
I thank god that Egg Theory shit is not possible.

you could also find yourself in a worse setup than now. in which case this is more desirable than that. unless it's unbearable I would suggest staying the fuck put, it's your best bet.

All I need is a cute blonde girl to nut in every day and I'll agree to these terms.

That is true, but I think in the end I may find myself still looking the same as I am, and even though the situation I find myself in may be different, I will be fair with it.
As long as Rev is Rev, it's all that matters.

The cyclical universe models were strongly disconfirmed empirically.
Additionally, most of the "big crunch" models are strictly, literally disproven if they include an expansion like the one we assume now.
As for the philosophical premise I don't see any reason to grant it, do I have any reason to think that there has existed and will exist an actually infinite number of situations where this identical thread occurs yet OP is not a faggot? This seems to strain plausibility.

Be a dick all you want, but I think scientifically it could hold itself up in a way.

it doesn't even matter if this universe goes to shit and another one pops up. as long as conditions allow you'll pop up there as well. you are not magically tied to this universe in any way anon.

What is it gonna do, pull itself up by its bootstraps and wishful thinking? Scientifically big crunch is dead. Mathematically half the models literally don't even lead to the situations where you can ask these philosophical questions to start with. This also requires an extremely unusual view of consciousness and persistence which even dualists are unlikely to grant and idealists basically cannot grant.
As if that weren't enough, nobody's granting alternate possible worlds to begin with.
Scientifically speaking, you're welcome.

I disagree. you wouldn't know if I replaced your body with a perfect clone, tomorrow when you wake up.

It matters all the while on what could be possible, science or not, it all depends on how it could go. Maybe the science is wrong, maybe we might do a recheck, we could find something.
Find yourself, and find no enemies, my friend

Your disagreement with fact and subsequent unrelated assertion is noted. In fact, your assertion undermines your position; a recrunched universe with the same light cone doesn't differ.

I mean undoing all that I've done, I expect chronological capabilities to be not possible so I could just let the universe reset from the big bounce?
