Whats the deal with Ivermectin? The people who developed it won the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, but now everyone in the media is saying its bad, but its not been pulled from the market.

Remdesivir and the Covid-19 vaccines would not have recieved EUA if there were effective treatments already available for Covid, and so these cheap, generic, highly-effective, and exceptionally safe medications were suppressed. Not just Ivermectin, which appears to have a better prophylactic effect on Covid than curative, but also hydroxycloroquine and chloroquine, which were used almost universally to treat SARS-CoV-1. The US DoD has always kept an emergency supply of hydroxycloroquine in the very event of a potential viral pandemic. They didn't even tap into it during Covid.
It was never about saving lives, and now you know.

Do you know Tylenol kills more people per year than Ivermectin has ever killed in decades, after billions of doses administered, and it's not even close? Ivermectin is not just safer than acetaminophen, it actually treats deadly diseases, not just ease the symptoms of, say, a harmless headache. Yet we have no problem selling Tylenol over the counter, and handing it out like candy for any ache or pain. There have also been many studies showing Ivermectin's prophylactic value in preventing Covid, and a lot of evidence the Ivermectin Covid studies were set up to fail, with improper doses given at improper times during infection.

This is an excellent example of why politicians should keep their nose out of some things, and choose to remain completely impartial. Even when politicians have good intentions, the facts and truth become shaded and colored by peoples feelings towards the politician. It distorts the truth which creating confusion and eventually lies.
Knowing when AND WHY to remain impartial about something is a skill all good politicians needs to have. Trump does not have this skill, but the reason for why it's important is beyond his comprehension. Trump is no politician! Without a doubt he dun goofed up on this one. Tally one mark for Biden.

The point of ivermectin not being sold otc isn't that it's dangerous, it's that the diseases being treated by it require more medical attention. You don't need to see a doctor if you have a fuck headache. Also, what a ridiculous thing to compare paracetamol with something that you only get with a prescription. >the diseases being treated for it require more medical attention.
Wrong, basic parasitic infections, especially in the developed world, are not acutely dangerous and can be dealt with with a simple treatment regimen, like Ivermectin. The reason it's not commonly available OTC is because it's a generic, cheaply made drug that is not patentable, and thus not profitable, to the pharmaceutical industry.
>You don't need to see a doctor if you have a fuck headache
You don't need to take a poisonous drug like acetaminophen to manage the symptoms of one either, but millions of people do every year, including children.
>what a ridiculous thing to compare paracetamol with something that you only get with a prescription
It's not ridiculous at all, considering the high-toxicity of acetaminophen/paracetamol compared to that of Ivermectin (Tylenol overdoses number in the thousands each year), and actually, you do not need a doctor's prescription to obtain Ivermectin, you can order it generically online.
Try again.

Trump supported it so liberals and the main stream media foamed at the mouth automatically saying its bad regardless if it was or not

Trump supported the vaccine. Why did liberals support the vaccine while conservatives rejected it?

Over the last 2 years I've swallowed maybe 5 tubes of horse paste in total, one small dose at a time. Usually take like 1/6th of a whole tube with a fatty meal whenever I feel drowsy like I'm about to get flu, and I usually end up feeling completely fine like 2 hours later, though sometimes I need a repeat dose 1 day later. 2 years later, my lab results are spotless, my liver is fine, my brain is fine, my lungs and intestines are fine. Can /soi/entists explain this?

What was it about then?
Why should anyone care about their medical recommendations if they aren't interested in disease prevention?

Maybe it's good for it's purpose, but bad for everything else. e.g. if you have small worms in muscle, it's wonder, but it's not a flu medication.

yeah doubt it's one of most important medicine ever invented
I doubt it's actually dangerous in any way except through overdose but everything is bad with an overdose
why must basedence believers like you always lie?
I'm literally not advocating taking medication unnecessarily though, I'm just unvaxxed and got called immoral for it by the government and media.

Ivermectin is good, if you have parasites, it's not flu medicine. Deal with it. It's last fucking final time for you to think, so think wisely.

It's safe, I weigh 160lbs, bought a tube, and set it to 150lbs, took it on an empty stomach with just water and went to bed, no side effects. Don't eat food prior or immediately after ingesting it because you body will absorb more of it than intended, ie it can make a dosage for 150lbs become a dosage for a 450lb human and then you'll experience aide effects. You can take it once every 2 weeks for 5 times, so 10 weeks in total.
I bought the apple flavored horse one.

The instructions tell you to not eat food because the digestive tract should be relatively empty so the worms see little but the ivermectin. Has nothing to do with covid.

Dumb. Every thing has side effects. Common pain killer has side effects that cause stomach bleeding and heart attacks. Vitamin C has side effects that nausea, vomitting, seizure, rash, etc. Water has side effects that causes drowning, death, etc.

Profit motivated, but also they really wanted to fast-track mRNA vaccine technology. There was some panel from 2019 or so where they straight up said (paraphrasing a bit)
>mRNA vaccines might go mainstream quick if there were some kind of catastrophe, like some kind of new virus from China
