The treatment lasted a year before it started to wear off and then after a year and 6 months it was pretty much gone but he was still better off than before he did the treatment. It doesn't change or cut out and replace any DNA which is why it wears off, which is also what makes it much safer than other forms of gene engineering. You can always do the therapy again using a different adenovirus to infect yourself with as you'll have built an immunity to the previous one which'll make the therapy ineffective

no he wasn't, lactose intolerance is often a transient issue that fixes itself. i had it for about 6 months after getting a vaccine shot (not the covid one) and then it went away on it's own with no treatment.
