Are there any intellectually stimulating videogames? Do any of you play videogames?

I've cut myself off entirely to focus on school and reading as videogames represent a slippery slope toward a hedonistic and self sabotaging lifestyle for me, but I feel the itch again. I figure maybe if I can at least convince myself what I'm playing is beneficial to some sort of neural processes and also limit my time, perhaps I can enjoy something I've enjoyed so much but in moderation.

I can't let myself go back to that shit man. Its basically a lifestyle of being plugged into a dopamine-drip simulator. Its barely even a fucking game

depends on game. I do play once in a while but only single player campaigns, no multiplayer ain't got time for that.
finished The Invincible and Talos Principle 2. once every month-two months I allow for 2-3 days of non-stop play.

NPCs use dimensional bots in video games, they literally believe muscle memory exists but that's just bot lul. There's no point in playing multiplayer games, you're like a victim of life cheat.

Freecell is good. It's in the Microsoft Solitaire Collection desktop app on the Microsoft store. It has ads but there's no ads while you're actually playing. Freecell is a bit harder than solitaire but it's more enjoyable I find once you work it out. And because it's just a card game you don't have to play it for long, you can just have a few games throughout the day to take a break from other stuff or whatever.

Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.

No, there are no good video games for intelligence. You’re much better off going for a walk, reading, drawing, painting, playing a musical instrument, studying, working out, etc.
It’s rare to find successful people who spend time playing video games. The majority of video game players are NEETs or total losers with no prospects for advancement in life.

video games are for children, if you're playing them as an adult its because you have arrested psychological development. before the term "retarded" became stigmatized, "arrested psychological development" was referred to as "retarded psychological development".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrested_development
>the UK's Mental Health Act 1983 used the term "arrested development" to characterize a form of mental disorder comprising severe mental impairment, resulting in a lack of intelligence

kys and stop trying to sound like a redditor by using big words retard. either get a lorefag series like fallout, elderscrolls, that you can shitpost about for years or etc or find a game that has a high skill ceiling and work on that for the rest of your life

I've enjoyed Far Cry Primal and Hellblade's campaigns very much. Both are unpozzed games with a decent amount of historical research that's gone into them.

FC Primal in particular features a reconstructed proto-proto-indo-european language too, which is very beautiful to listen to
