Let's start a pure /sci/ thread.
What kinds of chemicals do I need to make artificial life? What glassware on AliExpress do I need to buy? I have a $1,000 budget and need to make a protocell in order to usher in an age of nanotech and finally accomplish something in my life.

Dear GOD/GODS and/or anyone else who can HELP ME (e.g. TIME TRAVELERS or MEMBERS OF SUPER-INTELLIGENT ALIEN CIVILIZATIONS): The next time I wake up, please change my physical form to that of FINN MCMILLAN formerly of SOUTH NEW BRIGHTON at 8 YEARS OLD (see attached photo) and keep it that way FOREVER. I am so sick of this chubby Asian man body! Thank you! - CHAUL JHIN KIM (a.k.a. A DESPERATE SOUL)

If you buy some phospholipids from a biotech company and mix them with water you can make cells… They won’t be alive but they’ll be cells.
