>baking soda is now nahco3 and not Ca(HCO3)2
I swear /x/ is onto something. Till yesterday I would have sworn my life on the fact it was later

What the fuck? It's always been called sodium bicarb, where's the sodium in the second formula, retard?

I always remembered that it had calcium instead of sodium, that's why I made this thread

>Sodium bicarbonate (IUPAC name: sodium hydrogencarbonate[9]), commonly known as baking soda or bicarbonate of soda, is a chemical compound with the formula NaHCO3.
Not the Mandelbrot effect you think it is.

Anons said, it has always been sodium bicarb. Perhaps you got it mixed up in highschool chemistry class when they were talking about snail shells being calcium carbonate.

Baking soda was always based on sodium. Thats why its called Soda. Sorry but this one doesnt evoke any kind of doubt, mandela effect is not at play.
Calcium carbonate or bicarbonate is just a vile rock, limestone, its not soluble, it cant be used in food.

OP if you think /x/ is ever onto something that is usually a good cue that you are in fact retarded
im sorry you had to find out this way

soda=sodium
its a relatively rare substance, unlike calcium carbonate, of which there are mountain ranges
