You should study Linear Algebra Done Right by sheldon axler, it's for free now on his website, I'm about to finish chapter 1 on vector spaces and so far i've been able to answer all the questions, they total to about 60 in total for the first chapter from just rereading the text.

Studying linear algebra isn't a foolish endeavor because it forces your brain to develop more neuronal connections which help with problem solving ability and memory, therefore giving you a denser and smarter brain, specifically the prefrontal cortex and the visual cortex.

after that you should work through calculus and multivariable calculus by peter d lax, then both differential equation books by Logan, then complex analysis by Liederman
