How come science has no answer to the obesity epidemic?
Anonymous at Sat, 23 Mar 2024 10:17:20 UTC No. 16092355
Because it’s not rocket science.

Because science caused it.

Science has already offered us a vaccine for obesity: Eat less move more.
Fat people are just unwilling to take it

No they are not. Science is wrong about it, so it doesn't work.

The science says to stop eating so much goyslop, and to eat your fruits and veggies like an adult! Touch grass and exercise too!

Because the combined actions of the mid-century Germans, and a concerted effort by communists for the past 150 years has soured the public's taste for eugenics.
If the organism does not suit the environment, adapt the organism to the environment. Eugenics is the only ethical and practical way to solve the obesity problem.

Psychologists know why this happens on an individual level. But the scientific community is forbidden to even think about, let along discuss (in anything other than glowing praise) the societal changes that are causing it to happen to the majority of the population.

This. Industrial processed food is not fucking regulated well enough to be healthy. High fructose corn syrup, way too much sugar, artificial ingredients, preservatives, pesticides, herbicides, anti-fungals and fillers make up too much of the peoples’ diet. Hell, they invented artificial sweeteners, put them in diet drinks and now we know they actually cause obesity. It’s a fucking wreck. You want to cure obesity tell people to cut out most of their processed food intake, make fresh food with (preferably) organic ingredients.

Real solution needs to work on systemic level.
It it only works on highly determined people with strong will power then it's not a proper solution.

On the contrary, it's the result of it. Iron is toxic innthe amount we eat it, and heavy metals accumulate because we need more. (people depleted the soils tens of thousands of years ago)

It's a diseased tissue with failed mitochondria, not energy storage.

A fat person can starve themselves and lose weight, then as soon as they start eating a normal diet (not even a lardass diet) gain it all back. This is why diets rarely work, along with the fact that fat people often do have unhealthy relationships with food. Seems to be not talked enough about that obesity is often accompanied by mental health issues that manifest as poor diet choices or habits (stress eating, addiction to junk food, etc)
