I didn't have a dad. I feel like I'm doing OK. He was a dick anyway. He started another family and they booted him out too. If you're smarter than a retard then you don't need a dad to tell you what to do because you can work it out yourself. It might be more beneficial if the child is some kind of crazy troublemaker, but my mom beat my ass up a number of times, mothers don't have any problems dealing out punishment usually.
