if our universe truely started with the big bang then what was it's cause?
what do you think?

there was no big bang, the theory is way out as the Webb telescope is about reveal.
the Universe is MUCH older

>oh hay guys i totally know everything about the entire universe
you have to be severely mentally ill to actually believe that

The current common view among physicists is that the big bang is the limit for how far back we can probe, not that it was the absolute beginning.
As you speculate further back the causal chain eventually you will have to invoke some sort of prime happening though. Either that or the universe inherently has some sort of acausal random mechanism to it that just does stuff once in a while.

Why do you think you know everything about the entire universe?

The universe can be older and there could still be a big bang though. It just might not be as big

Time = 0 is the big bang.
Causality requires time.
You're asking what caused causality.
It's a silly question, because causality didn't exist because causality existed. This is such trivial logic even children can understand it. So why can't you?

There is 0 reason to believe that βtimeβ started at the big bang.

Yeah I think they usually say something like "meaningful time" started at the big bang, not that time didn't exist before that

No, the math breaks down before getting to t=0, big bang describes the expansion and didn't happen until after t=1picosecond (10^β12s), the planck epoch.

To create a bang, you need a gun. To create a big bang, you need a big gun. I call it the big gun hypothesis.
