The speed of light is constant across references frames
It just is bro.
That's why they call it c for constant. Stop asking so many questions.

The speed of light isn’t real. It’s the speed of causality

Any more nuggets from pbs spacetime you wish to share?

speed of causality doesnt exist either anymore than it exists in a computer.

he's not wrong tho,
the significance of c is more general than just light speed

He never said that or anything like it. The idea came from Maxwell's equations. They showed that the velocity of electro-magnetic waves was a constant and did not depend on the reference frame used in the calculation. However that fact was overlooked until Einstein.

If you read Einstein's special relativity paper it's almost all just reciting Maxwell's equations with some axioms lol

At a certain point you hit empirical bedrock where the only explanation for an observation is - that's just the way our reality functions.
