In the 1885 comic opera ‘The Mikado’, the character the grand Poo-bah says “I can trace my ancestry to a protoplasmal primordial atomic globule.”.
Although I do not believe in Evolution. I am still curious about whether the Theory of Evolution progressed to include microorganisms as a common ancestor as of the year 1885. Did it?
