Weather warfare. Research geoengineering, specifically chemical ice nucleation to create hail. Totally scriptable. Get em reliant on bullshit then just fly through, spray some barium and ammonia, or use the bacterial method, (simplified) creates chunks of ice, falls and trashes the place. I recently had penny sized hail in the middle of July.

just install hail resistant solar panels, where that tends to happen. blame the retards who didn't think about that. poor implementation not bad idea

It's amazing to me that literally no one (right or left) does not seem to understand that we are an emergent entropic phenomena (much like fire) and therefore "action" virtually automatically makes our situation worse.
People on the left are especially guilty of this with their carbon tax...

>Research by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory suggests hail-cracked panels have less than four percent energy loss.
It takes baseball-sized hail to actually destroy solar panels. This was golf-ball sized and they're still assessing the damage.
Instead of bitching about this freak bullshit, bitch about above ground power lines that cause widespread blackouts whenever there's a mild storm when they aren't sparking up state sized wildfires.

Solution seems pretty simple to me. Forget about the renewable energy bullshit.
Voluntarily lower the population so there is less demand on energy reserves and less environmental degradation. This requires
lowering the standard of living since economic growth is primarily based on population growth.
Yes, of course we will have to live shorter, less comfortable, lives. We will have to make do with far less luxuries and less choice, but you DO want to save the planet dont you?
I can just imagine all the screeching.
>What do you mean I have to keep the same car for 20 years?
>I cant buy a new iphone every year???
>But I love to travel overseas!
>What, we aren't going to accept massive numbers of immigrants or refugees any more?
>You aren't taking my imported cheap plastic crap and electronics away from me!
>Fuck living in a commie block! I want my suburb with a HOA and a lawn to mow every week!
There is a huge gap between what is required to take meaningful action and what people are willing to sacrifice in order to achieve it. So just get used to more solar and wind farm memes which are just politically expedient to satisfy voters regardless of how marginally useful they are. Like putting on a band aid over a bullet wound and saying "all better now!"

Solution: add a hing so it's angle can be changed (it should already have this) and a quick release safety pin that when released it falls/stands vertically. The hail will fall strait down missing the panels or if there's a strong wind blowing the panels will just swing in the wind and you'll only have glancing hits.

A hinge adds a layer of complexity depending on the inverter set up. Cables and wires require some take up, motion lubrication or cleaning activity, hinge failures.
The outcome in Texas is the ideal outcome for whoever was contracted for this. They built it and got the fed bucks, now they get to demo it and rebuild it.
It's all a scam.

Put the fucking solar panels on top of building you stupid fuck head.
This is so fucking stupid. Do you know how many of these you need running at optimal efficiency per person?
These might make sense for towns, but a city probably needs a nuclear reactor.
