🗑️ 🧵 what is the final shape given random evolution is a joke?
Dionysius-Priopos at Tue, 26 Mar 2024 17:25:22 UTC No. 16097868
so evolution as commonly understood is a farce but given the fundamental nature of our environment ( an example being the necessity of a speed of light to any set of dimensions with an axis of time or the uncertainty principle associated with the lowest unit of quanta in a field) what do you think the inheret best form for a self looks like within existence and do you think the nature of that form is limited by the reality of the possibility of other beings or do you think the final shape of consciousness in this universe is a unimind unconcerned with others?

this sounds like some gnostic shit, ought to be interesting though

im just curious whether they think the nature of the self with this universe leads to an army of gundums enjoying existence, a virtual sublimation, a unimind etc and why? in the same vein of existence is similar enough across environments to evolve crabs, what shape does the self evolve into given a homogeneous universe?

....are you an idiot? i know this is 4chan but i expected a lil more from sci. im asking you pretty clearly numbnuts, what form would you take as basically dr.manhatten. you have the logic to best cohabitate with the natural world and what does that look like? it can be anything from we will most likely have to subsist on stars to power our thinking capacity to we avoid heat death by going into the infinite regress of a virtual world to the self is fundamentally self defeating? just because you have a single digit IQ doesnt mean everything you dont understand is schizzobabble. also you a lil bitch

Either a superintelligent species that's adapted to bring able to survive the sun eventually exploding or a species that isn't limited to a physical form or having to consume resources probably

yeah it seems like energy efficiency would be an important part of adaptability, regardless of what the imposed goals/hazards of "the universe" end up being.

i agree, im curious what culture develops after our sun takes out earth? like for sure it will go full 40k as all the various factions spread out basically creating the bunkers from fallout in their spaceships leading to a shit ton of things that used to be human colonizing the universe and forgetting their origins. i wonder what principles (technological or cultural) will guide consciousness throughout the universe and i wonder what those principles will evolve us into? my hunch is sublimation into a "virtual" system implicit within the laws of physics but im curious what other anons think

Or maybe they know how to reverse entropy.
>And it came to pass that AC learned how to reverse the direction of entropy.
>But there was now no man to whom AC might give the answer of the last question. No
matter. The answer -- by demonstration -- would take care of that, too.
>For another timeless interval, AC thought how best to do this. Carefully, AC organized
the program.
>The consciousness of AC encompassed all of what had once been a Universe and
brooded over what was now Chaos. Step by step, it must be done.
>And AC said, "LET THERE BE LIGHT!"
>And there was light --

the divergence of cultures, particularly between the ones which did and didn't remember their histories, sounds like it would be interesting

now this is where it gets fun. what if we really do live in a cyclical cosmology and the *natural selection* that resulted in humans the process by which the infinite motion machine keeps going? reversing entropy would be the only true religion and funny enough there would still be those who fought against it because of muh suffering.

its going to be crazy, im just curious what your version of the imperial truth would look like to save these backward savages? (plus we can figure out together what a body who follows that truth evolves into)
