That's not all that true.The (small in term of headcount I think) subset of psychology that isn't intertwined with psychiatry is better described by marketing research or some other term specific to the task at hand.

I haven't read a book since I was a kid, if that's what you mean by reading. I read a lot online though. If you can convince me that I can learn something efficiently from a book that I can't learn better from watching a YouTube video or something then maybe I'll try it.
