ok so i need help with the following art project of mine.
i need this fish which has the intestines taken out of it to have a nice coat of fluffy fungus.
it's been in this sadly not so hermetically sealed container since wednesday under my heater in the dark.
this morning it smelled so much i had to take it to the balcony.
it just kinda seemed to liquify.
i tried infusing it with mold from old toast i had laying around. will this work?
do you have any tips to make it moldy? i have like a week till i need to turn the project in.

You're going to have a hard time keeping it from favoring bacteria over fungi.

nta but fungi prefers cooler temperatures than bacteria
I would keep the temp around 4-10 degrees C (stick it in the fridge)
most fungi also prefers carbs (eg bread) over protein so I would cover the fish in moldy breading where you want the mold to grow
