What type of rock is this? It was captured by nasa's curiosity rover. I dont believe its proof of life or any such bs but does anyone know what it is?

Looks like a mud clod formed by the rover's tracks but for that to be the case, there would need to have been wet ground it was driving through.

seems fresh anyway. some dust all over. wasn't there for long. else it would have had more dust on top.
if it's heavy and would have fell from ze skies it would have left a larger mark. something fell from the rover, or from some ... probe? satellite? but should have left a more obvious mark in the area on first impact point.

I think it's 2 years old or something. it has been colorized in OP's version

supposedly it's been shaped by fucking water. OP's photo lost detail and makes it look more like some sort of drone plastic shell. b/w photo has more detail and makes it look more like a rock. still, pretty weird

Lots of strange shit is being found on Mars like that giant face and pyramids. There had to be some kind of civilization there long ago to leave all these artifacts behind.
