🧵 What are the best German math textbooks

Anonymous No. 16113196

The knowers know that the Krauts have written some of the finest mathematical texts out there, share the ones you know and love
>Picrel
>Analysis (by Broecker or Amann/Escher)
Terrific alternatives to the usual toothless western undergrad analysis sequences
>Anything by Falko Lorenz (Algebra 1&2, Funktionentheorie, Algebraische Zahlentheorie)
This guy's undergrad algebra duology is insane, just look at the table of contents
>Funktionentheorie by Fischer/Lieb
>Einführung in die reelle Algebra
Haven't actually read this one, but looks promising

pic related and it really sucks because there aren't very many books on poisson geometry that aren't super advanced, also see books in here

More like England is Germanic and the English are descendants of Germans who conquered the Island and mixed with the local Celts.

Then stop looking up to him. Look up to Teichmüller.

Interesting tidbit: von Querenburg is the German Bourbaki in that it's 3-4 different authors writing under the same collective pseudonym. To my knowledge this is the only book they've written, which is a shame, because they write well. Another bourbakist group I'm aware of is Jet Nestruev, they write on differential geometry
