Has reading been correlated to positive neurological and cognitive benefits?

Depends on what your read. Reading what is discounted in shop is more correlated to poverty than brain benefits.

Reading is beneficial because it's an active learning process that requires focus opposed to lectures or videos that still continue without your attention.
Does seems to help oldheads at least.

I have been reading much more lately, and after a few months of reading a book about once every two weeks (trying to get that down to a week), I've certainly noticed my memory and cognition is sharper and faster.
