As a reminder for photographing celestial events:
- Set camera to Pro
- ISO=contrast. Lower contrast so bright objects appear more "flat"
- Raise brightness to compensate
And repeat steps 2&3 until satisfied. Keep your eyes safe and enjoy the eclipse!

My camera does not have these settings. I have auto, aperture priority, shutter priority and full manual.

I'm just gonna point my phone camera at the sun and see what happens. Maybe use a sunglasses lens to provide some shielding for the camera lens.

What camera are we talking about here? Every actual camera is a pro compared to shitty mobile camera. So they don't really have a pro mode.
