Scientifically, how do you cure a 15+ years long depression?

If somebody has been "depressed" for 15 years and they are still alive, then it is not a real depression, but instead something way less severe: emo, melancholia, raised by single mother syndrome, fear of missing out, too much red pills, NEET or loser syndrome and so on.
The latest sci trend in treating these "depression" states is micro dosing psilocybin and other mind altering drugs, which coupled with a bit of luck can turn your default misery state into different less bleak life viewpoint.

If you ask me, conventional psyche altering drugs are way WAY more believable type of "cure" compared to the typical mind numbing SSRIs which are times and times proven to be just as bad (sometimes even worse) than placebo.

A total and complete change of diet and 8 hours minimum spent outdoors labouring to the point of exhaustion. If you're not fixed in a couple months then you can have your money back. Disclaimer: will not work on people with chemical imbalances.
