why are you assuming they're black?
there was already one white guy at my work who didn't buy the glasses beforehand and he thought he'd be fine without them and then after he said he had a headache after the eclipse and started crying.
i went back to my cubicle after that

as long as you didnt stare for 30+mins, it'll be fine. you might get some halos or dark patches in your vision for a couple days, but it'll return to normal.
at least it did for me :).

Because they were stupid enough to look directly at the sun.

I mean even mild damage to the eyes takes up to 1 or 6 months just to recover. Those few months would prob be more interesting.

why is everyone acting like looking at the sun for 0.1 seconds melts your eyeballs? have you never looked at the sun in your entire life? even as a kid? this is so fucking retarded.
Anonymous at Tue, 9 Apr 2024 00:12:18 UTC No. 16120085
I've heard people say the sun is stronger during an eclipse and others say it's the same strength but it's just easier to look at because it's obscured. So which is it? How would it damage cameras if it's the same intensity as usual.
