Why does homosexuality persist evolutionarily speaking? Is it a consequence of strong hormone-linked behavior that made males indiscriminately horny to submit members of the group, or was it a reproductive strategy that turned some males submissive in order to satisfy the alpha and have a chance to fecundate females during the refractory period after the male's ejaculation? Since the majority of society is heterosexual i am inclined to the latter.

Homosexuality evolved as a logical response to women's behaviour.

in males: it's a fuckup. if the birth order effect is real, it's probably caused by conditions in the womb deteriorating in some way after repeatedly having male children, which doesn't get weeded out because the mother has already had several children by the time it's a serious problem. cochran could also be right that it's some kind of pathogen.
in females: women don't actually need to be attracted to their inseminators in order to reproduce. it helps, which is why almost all women have at least some attraction ot men, but it's much less necessary than it is for men to be attracted to them.

It's just a consequence of male brain development. In simple terms a female brain is the default brain, and to make a male brain an additional series of things are required, if something goes wrong during that differentiation you end up having a feminized brain ie ur gay.

Well, I can't say much about homosexuality.

But if you don't want to tackle a public health issue, the first thing you do is to declare it genetic and outside of your control.

Straight parents produce gay offspring, ergo, homosexuality does not have to be a successful procreation strategy in order to survive. Homosexuality may have been good for the community as a whole, decreasing competition for women and strengthening bonds between men, allowing straight parents who produce some gay offspring to produce more offspring than straight parents who did not.
