I honestly think they should make technical/scientific/business writing class a requirement for science majors. And possibly even video editing class.

The money is created by fiat, not your taxes. Your taxes (or the threats against you for not surrendering them) simply drive fiat demand.
If taxation were required you'd have a hypothetical limit on such programs. The reality is worse.
