Not exactly, this is nowhere stated on their jobs page.
You need to be Intelligent, obviously, so having such background is beneficial but they generally hire any one who has done great research work - in any quantitative field, most of their scientists have background in physics, astrophysics, computer science, mathematics etc.
This is true only for their research role btw, for infrastructure/development they are more lenient.
