you probably shouldn't use bleach with kitchen stuff in general, so many things in the kitchen that can cause a disaster if they mix with bleach like baking soda
but if you already cleaned something with bleach, just rinse it and you should be okay

Bleach is both corrosive and potentially poisonous, depending on the concentration and how it's used.
- **Corrosive:** Bleach, particularly in high concentrations, can be corrosive to certain materials like metal, rubber, and some plastics. It can cause damage to surfaces through chemical reactions that break down or degrade the material.
- **Poisonous:** Bleach contains sodium hypochlorite, which can be toxic if ingested or inhaled in large amounts. Ingesting bleach can lead to irritation and burning of the mouth, throat, and stomach, as well as nausea, vomiting, and potentially more severe health effects. Inhaling bleach fumes can also irritate the respiratory tract and cause coughing, shortness of breath, and chest pain.
When cleaning a cooking implement with bleach, it's important to use it properly and to rinse thoroughly afterward to remove any residue. Here are some safety precautions to keep in mind:
1. **Dilution:** Always dilute bleach according to the manufacturer's instructions and avoid mixing it with other cleaning products, especially those containing ammonia, as this can produce toxic gases.
2. **Ventilation:** Use bleach in a well-ventilated area to minimize inhalation of fumes. Open windows or turn on fans to help disperse fumes.
3. **Protective gear:** Wear gloves and eye protection when handling bleach to protect your skin and eyes from irritation or burns.
4. **Rinsing:** After cleaning with bleach, thoroughly rinse the cooking implement with water to remove any remaining bleach residue. This will help ensure that no traces of bleach are left behind that could potentially contaminate food or cause irritation.
5. **Drying:** Allow the cooking implement to air dry completely before using it again to further ensure that any residual bleach has evaporated.

1. corrosive because it's caustic (contains sodium hydroxide)
2. it easily produces toxic and carcinogen compounds
