That debate has been done to death, there are pros and cons and the next thing you know is your alarm clock says it's time to enter the wage cage again to pay for your pod and you realize that you've done nothing to improve your life in such a way that you are free to eat as much steak as you like innawoods.

In your opinion was life much easier in the past before Industrial Revolution? Before Agricultural Revolution?

No but modern developments have done so much damage in so many ways that there's a longing to go to an idealized version of the past. That ideal might exist in the future but didn't exist in the past.

serve your purpose mere mortal, bring forth the AGI overlords. that is what you are meant to do, it is your only purpose in life from nature's point of view.
