Imo. Scientists are thinkers or even great thinkers, and a lot of new stuff can come from thinking alone. Our system is too socialist and requires that we pass through a filter before our ideas are welcomed, and this filter is entirely anti thought process. We have to conduct an experiment and show results before a idea is an accepted science. We should be able to produce a thesis free of any physical action based on good thinking alone.
