With $500, little space and no education how would you evolve a new organism? Doesn't have to be powerful or weird, just distinct enough to be a note in some book. Im retarded so the only things I have are
>Close it off in its own unique habitat like a terrarium
>Increase mutation rate with temperature, UV, and or radiation
>Build conditions and pressures not found elsewhere such as different day night cycle
I really just have nothing else to do. What if I feed it exclusively my own DNA also, or do I need to make it more self sustaining

Probably better off buying a home CRISPR kit. You can get them for like $150 or something online

Get some cheap radiation. That's what causing bacteria on the International Space Station to mutate. Obviously you can't afford to go work on the ISS but you can set up your own low grade radiation source.
