Stryer is good, picrel is good, Albert's cell biology is good, as a rule of thumb always get the older editions (written by people after whom the books are named) as they are better. No textbook will give you all the knowledge of biochemistry or molecular biology, but the fundamentals of macromolecular structure, metabolism, basic molecular mechanisms, are basically unchanged โ€” the edition does not matter. I don't remember whether it was lehninger or voet, by some biochemistry textbook tries to cram too much and ends up being a summary of history of biochemistry, rather than a synthesis of contemporary knowledge. You can also consider reading the introductory chapters of Clayden's organic chemistry, as they give you a good idea of physics and geometry of chemical bonds, which are central to understanding the reactivity of groups and understand, rather than memorize, synthetic or metabolic pathways
