Looking for an app/service where I could just click a picture of any equation and it would provide me step by step solution. I tried Microsoft math and it is literally worthless, anything that actually works?

Before the LLM revolution I would've used wolfram, symbolab and once I also used some notebook app that had a step by step CAS.
Nowadays I'd just ask GPT-4 and check the result using wolfram (you can get access to GPT-4 for free if you ask around).
If you really need step by step solutions using wolfram alpha you can use a pirated install of mathematica or buy the mobile/windows store app. Wolfram alpha pro which is needed to show step by step solutions in the web version is kind of expensive for what it is.
Also IDK what you mean picture of an equation, you need to type it in using parentheses. There is no OCR for math. Only for tablet input at best.
