Sorry I'm retarded but why is it so hard to find Calculus textbooks by Stewart/Spivak on Amazon that aren't old and cost 100$+? Are these books out of print or something?

I wanted to read Spivak because I heard his book is "pure calculus"/explains the theories in more detail whereas Stewart is geared towards engineering.

Thank you for the libgen rec but desu I really wanted a physical copy so I can study it while away from a computer.

do you not have a university library anywhere near you???
>>16182366
desu I agree. ime if you’re learning calc for the first time spivak is superfluous and you almost immediately can learn or postulate 90% of that book’s bulk in a subsequent intro analysis course (maybe try your hand at Ross’ elementary analysis, which is pretty affordable on Amazon)

>Analstol
I've been working on his Calculus 1. A lot of times I find his proofs hard to understand. A warning to OP: read 6 pages of let's say, chapter 13 which deals with vector geometry in applied analytics (something like that). If you think you can comfortably understand it, try him. If not, get another book.

Maybe stop paying for knowledge that should be free and they'll make it affordable
