What has more potential, the promise of pleasure, or the threat of pain? Or are they equal?

In my opinion they are equal and there is no match against them together where drive is concerned? Can you think of anything greater? Are they the epitome of drive? Do they exist at the very edges of possibility? And do they encircle our being?
