My friend has set me a challenge to solve a triple integral.
The last time I did maths was high school and I don't remember shit from calculus.
What do I read to learn this?

Triple integrals are advanced research math and not fully understood yet. It is conjectured that they play a role in the unsolved millennium problem of Navier-Stokes.

Well first of all, what's the integral?

There isn't a particular one. The challenge is how to solve them in general.

specifically, you have to recreate his habits and mindset in order to approach the problem.
Therefore you have to stare at colored numbers and graph lines until you see them with your eyes closed and roll around on the floor between playing bongo drums with different bpms for each hand

There are apps on IPhone that you can take a picture of an equation and it will show all steps done to solve it.

The general strategy is to understand the volume over which you're integrating and to convert it to an iterated integral solving one variable at a time.
https://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/ will provide you what you need. You'll need to go over the "Integrals" section from Calc I, "Integration Techniques" from Calc II, and "Multiple Integrals" from Calc III. If you really remember nothing you'll need to go over derivatives as well.

Just use a computer... unless you're over a special domain in which case you're fucked, try a monte carlo integral.
I get paid 300k a year to solve integrals

I'd start by never talking to your friend, quit your job and spend 12 hours a day developing your mind for math. Good luck!

Huh ? Tripple integrals as in volume for example ? As in you just integrate, three times, back to back ? dx dy dz ?
>not fully understood
KEK moron
>>16190777
Just integrate 3 times. If its complex try substituting or look up some integrals in tables.

Figure out the easiest of the three variates to integrate first and use whatever methods you have to in order to solve that part. Repeat with the other two until the integral is solved.

LMAO, just integrate 1 in x, y, z. The volume of the cube is x *y * z. EZ AF.

great book, great diagrams, very visual-oriented, but if you don't know simple calculus, don't start with this one, get the preceding book.

If you don't even know how to solve an integral, what the fuck are you doing taking on challenges to solve multivariate integrals?
It's like going up to someone who barely speaks english and asking them to translate something from japanese to klingon.
