It seems to be a fake disease. The majority of people who have it seems to be women and self diagnosed.

Well it is so because women have a much higher risk of developing lupus. Just as males have a much higher risk of cardiovascular disorders or black people having a sickle cell disease. It's all in the genetics and cellular mechanisms.
