Do you know of people who regret studying medicine? What did they do?
I got my MD last year and I don't want to do a specialty. People have told me to do Radiology because you don't see patients and make big money, but that shit's boring as fuck.

Do something involving mitochondria
the field will explode soon. So many disease processes are being found that are related to them like cancer. Look at Thomas Seyfried

Maybe avoid cardiology since all these new weight loss drugs means far less fatties with clogged arteries going forward. Concierge docs that specialize in healthy longevity could see a lot of growth as the boomers are forced to confront their mortality and will pay anything to delay it.

theres not a single specialty that interests you? surely in the entire field of medicine, there must be something you find interdasting. you can then later decide on how to become a researcher, clinician, etc depending on what you like the most.

No. Every single one requires you to do 30-hr shifts. Nothing can interest me enough to survive such a shitty lifestyle.

Emergency medicine? All those medical tv shows make emergency room work look exciting and cool.

Not medicine, but definitely pharma.
She's in stockholm syndrome even though pharma may have given me cancer and she's seen it now.

I'm a CS-let but neuro-anything sounds like the latest trend in medicine. Is it a valid branch of medicine? From the outside it seems like a giant circlejerk, echochamber and knowledge bubble.
