Triethylene glycol has toxicity in extremely high doses, but is unlikely to be harmful in low doses.
But since you can buy literal jugs for $30 of Food Grade Propylene Glycol, I'd just buy that. Recommend only mixing with Distilled Water instead of tap water (fluoride) and whatever extras you desire.
