I'd say Perelman. Maybe not the greatest, but the sassiest for sure.

Russell debunked set theory, so he wins. Tao and Perelman are just working within mathematical frameworks developed by others. Turing is more relevant for computer science and philosophy

Turing not eliminated? you serious? his whole contribution is the Turing machine model which was extensiviely built on work of other mathematicians at the time (aka Hilbert) and there are multiple other models that were quite similar to his. Turing machine being discovered was inevitable. the only other thing I can remember about him is that he is a faggot and killed himself when they castrated him. maybe that's why he's getting shilled nonstop, muh pride and stuff.

Makes no sense to include Newton but not Leibniz when it's only about mathematics. Anyway, Descartes should be in place of them both because analytic geometry was a way bigger conceptual step than calculus.

or possibly maxwell
honorable mention Archimedes, because he was very close to discovering /creating calculus nearly 2000 years before newton, and he stood mountains above contemporaries of his time.
unfortunately most of his legacy was lost to time.
