>but why come they have not visited yet?
>The planet orbits within the habitable zone of its parent star; but it is not known whether it has an atmosphere. Proxima Centauri is a flare star with intense emission of electromagnetic radiation that could strip an atmosphere off the planet.
Proxima B is about as far away from its star as Mercury is from the sun. Proxima Centauri is much smaller and dimmer than our sun, hence such a close proximity being the "habitable" zone. But as greentext says, it's so close to its star that it's possibly REKT by solar storm activity.

Why we haven't visited them instead.
Who said they need to be the ones to do the first step?

They didn't have enough diversity so their society collapsed

If by aliens, you mean the US Navy, and if by Proxima B, you mean the garrison affectionately known as Planet Dirt...then yes, they have visited.
