What sparked your love of physics?

I don't love physics. In general I do my best to engage with physics as little as is required for my research. Physics is an axiomatic mathematics discipline pretending to be grounded in material reality. This dissonance leads to physicists having neither the mathematics background of mathematicians, nor the humility about the inferential nature of their work found in engineering/statistics.

This man might have a PhD in physics. If it were the midwit meme, the tard and the genius would hold this position. The midwit "science enjoyer" would screech about unlocking the mysteries of the universe and loving science.

Astronomy basically. And everything around me. I wanted to know how all of this shit work, what makes it all tick. I guess in the end I still don't *really* know, but what a journey it has been. Reality is better than any sci-fi.

I don't love physics... I just turned out to be vaguely competent at it, so now it's a thing to do I guess.
