Blackpill me on working memory, can it be improved or am I screwed? Does n-back work?
I consistently score below the 20th percentile in the sequence memory game on human benchmark and only scored 120 on Mensa Norway’s IQ test. I’m tired of being retarded and would appreciate any advice, thanks.

try brght iq test. mensa norway is fakeshit test that only covers one aspect of intelligence so that normies can boast about how high iq they are

working memory is closely related to focus.
chronic coffee consumption can lower it, task switching might, as well as excess body fat.
the only thing you can really do is to be as healthy as possible, there's no cheat code.

You should start working on improving your memory (e.g. mnemotechniques), change your lifestyle (habits such as sleep, better diet, exposure to cold, etc.), try to find a field in which you can begin to deeply develop your knowledge. If you really want to raise your IQ, try the following techniques: -Imagine Streaming, -N-Back, -Relational Reasoning Training. I have tried these and my IQ increased by 8% over two years, I am 130+.

you can't "raise" your iq you moron, it's constant and innate. you could only decrease it by using drugs

You probably never heard of fluid and crystallised intelligence. Get some information, retard

You're screwed. Go do great things anyway, even if they are slightly less great.
You might like Gwern's writings about his attempts to increase his intelligence. He pretty much accomplished nothing, but it's still interesting to read about.

i think it's innate desu. my brother did one of those sequence tests once in front of me and got to double my level after i was practicing it for 1-2 hours.

>yep it can be repaired but it will take time
technology is known to reek havoc on your memory,
take about a month and go into offline mode maybe read some books or go on a holiday or both.

Clinically double n-back with active learning has shown to improve working memory, so yes, do that.
