Are any of you actual scientists?

Yeah I majored in bong rips and doing your mom

I used to be before I quit and got a factory job
I am a massive chud and I could not take all of these DEI hires joining my lab

I have a few papers published in science journals/conferences. I'm more of an applied math/engineering person than a scientist though.

Used to be, but quit and got on Autismbux. Academia has become crowded with narcissistic midwits.

No,I do not look like a scientist

I am near the end of my PhD, have 500 citations and a couple of first author papers in ML/engineering physics. Am I considered a scientist? And no, I dont look like Twum.

>Are any of you actual scientists?
Yes, I am a physicist. What is your question?
Or was that it?

Yes. My field is molecular genetics cellular and developmental biolgy. I'm currently working on the diganostic and forensic applications of a novel epigenetic marker i developped.
That being said, this place is more of a shithole than it ever was and i maybe come here once every few weeks.

Very interesting. I would like to see frame-dragging factored in as a possible confounding effect.

Anonymous No. 16203338

Do people who are actually published not feel concerned that if people find out they post here, they could get in trouble?

Anonymous No. 16203346

>>16203338
I don't think I would get in trouble, but it would be kind of awkward. There's no chance of it happening though, I'm not going to refer to my own papers on here and they are on such an irrelevant niche that there is zero possibility of accidentally leaking that I know too much about the topic
That's just something that happens to you in nightmares when you accidentally autofill your full name in the name field and then wake up covered in sweat

I’m a “data scientist” but that’s not a real science. It’s more some baby statistics and lots of bloviating

It’s not hard to be a scientist. I work with academics on a day to day and a lot of these people aren’t really geniuses. But most are very dedicated unless they’re outright grifters.
