Disagreeing with science without a sound basis isn't skepticism, it's contrarianism. Your average climate denier, antivaxxer, etc. rejects the scientific stance because of their politics and not because they have valid concerns over methodology and such.

Science has foundational criticisms as causality hinges on infinite regress - they do not resolve this in their empiricism.
Science has the same formulations as religious scriptures. Testimony is brought forward that is so convoluted only other scientists can argue it down, but it is also so irrelevant none bother.
