🧵 Alzheimer memory encoding fraud
Anonymous at Fri, 7 Jun 2024 20:49:15 UTC No. 16220551
2006 paper claiming evidence of Alzheimer and connecting it with poor memory is a fraud and has been retracted.
This was one of the biggest medical science story that happened nearly 2 decades ago and the story still persists today. But now the most popular retracted paper is a goner.

You're either retarded or have ill intent for phrasing your post like that, the very article you linked says the problem is that there is no evidence linking amyloid beta to Alzheimer's but the disease is connected to poor memory

The most retarded shit in all of this is that the institutions of the people who are credibly accused of scientific fraud perform the investigation whether they commited misconduct or not. like what nigga, no one want to admit that a professor in their department commited scientific fraud cause it would cost them reputation and more importantly money. why don't we have a separate, indepent comitte that get paid handsomely to investigate and frequently check those issues. it would still cost way less to society than the damage done by those fraudsters scientists.

Thats why the same thing is going to keep on happening. Science is going to be filled with frauds and dominated by them until that changes

After reading, it seems to be saying that they claimed that Alzheimer's was linked to a specific protein which was doctored, not the fact that Alzheimer's impairs memory which is still known and accepeted.
Drugs were trying to target the protein they claimed was causing it, but were ineffective at preventing it because the protein wasn't actually the cause.

Literally anyone could tell you that Alzheimer's affects memory, that's the whole fucking disease. Great, the obvious part that everyone who's ever witnessed someone suffering from Alzheimer's knows is still known.

Not only has the African population doubled over the span of just 25 years, but theres also millions of Africans flooding out of Africa and colonizing the rest of the world and they don't count towards the population of Africa.
