How do I purposefully induce random mutations to plants that im growing?
and no, I dont have anything radioactive

Grow a lot of them and fast.

I got few potential plants that might be able to grow multiple generations in a year, but just waiting for random mutations takes too long, so I need something to spice things up.

here's a wordy paper comparing chemical and physical (radioactivity) mutagens:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8585642/
table 2 and 3 are the lists of physical and chemical mutagens they tried.

personally i'd be more worried about using chemical mutagens than physical ones, since the dangers of a sealed vial of uranium salts or whatever pretty much end a few inches away from said vial.
chemical mutagens need to be released from their container, applied to the seeds or live plants, and then washed off after they've done their thing. and if you do that wrong you will get ultra cancer. i'm not a chemist, but those chemical names sound like some of them might be volatile, so just breathing in the same room you're using them in might be a bad idea.
if you eat a single tomato from a chemically mutated plant that you didn't rinse properly and you'll turn into a tomato-themed supervillain.

you can probably buy radioactive samples off of amazon. put them in a glass bottle, stick that glass bottle in a disposable cup with the seeds you want to mutate and leave them there for a while before planting them seeds.

UV lamps accelerate the speed a little bit, but dont use too bright UV. Otherwise youll bleach and burn your plants

Coom on your plants. Some may absorb genetic material from your sperm.

yeah chemicals are definitely off the table.
i wouldn't want to ever even see their containers.

maybe i'll find some old smoke alarms and keep seeds with its core?

you'd need a lot of smoke alarms and you'd risk breaking the container and spreading radioactive dust on yourself and your surroundings.
uv lamps are listed as effective in table 2 in that paper, and they can probably be used as grow lamps too. you might be able to find them in the same place you get your gardening supplies from as well.

You could probably extract potassium from fruits/vegetables. If you had enough concentrated near the plants it might accelerate mutation

Also iirc you can buy tiny amounts of uranium in the US, that might work too. Not sure if there's a better radiation delivery system than "put glowing rock next to plant"

what fucking dust? its not tumorblaster9000 or xray machine.
inside is just small dot of metal sheet thats very lamely radioactive based on my findings

>>16224129
not realistically possible
>>16224135
I guess this would be easiest, i've even seen some rock sample sets that included raw uranium ore in fleamarkets

me thinks UV will 100% kill the seeds or do nothing depending the intensity
