My front incisors on the upper jaw are a bit misaligned and they cause me to have a lisp when I have to make the s sound. So teeth can cause a communication problem, its not just about chewing food. I'm not getting braces though, they're fucking gay

No, bone is a tissue that regrows and deforms at any age, you can do it in adulthood.
I did mine in my late 30s
