Why are electric cars so dangerous and unpredictable?
The one in pic spontaneously combusted and killed a family of 5.
If you're in an electric car when it catches fire the doors lock shut because the locks are electric, its like they designed them to be death traps. Why can't science do better than make dangerous cars that burn their owners to death?

Also no way to get around battery safety. It's oxidizer + fuel mixed together.

Hate the guy pearl clutching. "Would you want an EV in your house if this was even remotely possible".
There's no such thing as safety, there will always be a possibility of death, you can't remove it. A ICE car could burst into flames too.

>Why are electric cars so dangerous and unpredictable?
too much shit in them Teslas is made by Xi Jinping
>the doors lock shut because the locks are electric
one of the reasons I intend on staying away from hyper-elecronic cars, for as long as I can.
I do want an electric car, but there's no need to digitize/electrify all other aspects of a car.

but the guy in the OP's video said at the 1m09s mark that EV fires are less common than ICE vehicles.

Actually they can and have, even when parked in a garage (for example on some Pontiac cars made in the 00s, hot oil was able to leak out of the headgasket if it was parked on a slight incline, and the oil is hot enough that it can cause a fire)

lol that never happened
automotive oil doesn't reach temperatures that can cause combustion, you may as will try starting a fire using hot water

To be fair they might also drown you, like that billionaire chink Angela Chao. The software automatically locked her inside the car so that she couldn't escape as it was sinking.
